Collaborative Art Project:
|
Painting/mixed media creation between artists Patti Agapi and Meg Leslie. The premise was to each use one hand, restricting the other hand by tying together and acting as one creator. The initial set-up was with Patti using left (her non-dominant hand) and Meg using her right. Patti drew the first face with her left hand, followed by Meg, now using her left (non-dominant) hand, drawing another leftie face over top.
From there, alternating the use of left and right hands, they proceeded to work together through discussion and action. Materials used included acrylic paint and collage elements. The collaboration/painting process was filmed by videographer Georgia Grieve, who created an accompanying video. The resulting dual non-selfie portrait and collaboration video will be on display in 'Eye to Eye' the 2015 Annual Orillia Women's Day Show at the Orillia Museum of Art & History, February 14 - May 2, 2015. |
